Introduction
Integrated Generator Condition Monitoring System
:Stator/Rotor winding insulation, Stator vibration and Air-gap diagnostics
It is an on-line integrated diagnostic monitoring system for large hydro and turbine generators. It consists of Stator partial discharge monitoring system, Rotor shorted-turn monitoring system, Stator vibration monitoring system and Air-gap & Winding impedance monitoring system. Stator partial discharge monitoring system measures the partial discharges generated from the insulation deterioration in the stator winding and Rotor shorted-turn monitoring system keeps track of the change in the rotor flux signal caused by the shorted-turn ratio and Stator vibration monitoring system analyzes the frequency spectrum of the stator vibration caused by weakening of fastening the mechanical parts and Air-gap & Winding impedance monitoring system monitors the change in air-gap capacitance and winding impedance caused by the stator electromagnetic asymmetry.
